Ancient Faith, Delivered Plainly

— a church where the liturgy does the forming and the cross does the saving.

Who is Lamb of God Anglican?

“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 1:29).

This proclamation, given by the John the Baptist, perfectly distills the faith we seek to inhabit and give to others. We seek to orient our whole life to the Lamb and our mission is point to point others to the same.

Lamb of God Anglican Church is a currently-forming mission in the Anglican Diocese of the Southeast (Reformed Episcopal Church). The Reformed Episcopal Church is a founding member of the Anglican Church in North America. The REC’s commitment to higher liturgy as well as traditional practice and belief makes it a good home for us. We believe the Book of Common Prayer is not simply an aesthetic preference but a theological powerhouse for forming believers and the body of Christ. We are not a museum, but rather a living body, formed by word and sacrament, godly tradition, and sent into the world. We preach and pray the same gospel the apostles of Jesus preached.

We are happy to be working with supportive and strong leaders like Bishop Willie Hill, our Diocesan Bishop, and Canon Tony Melton, Lead for Church Planting in the Anglican Church in North America.

Who is our Leadership?

I'm an Anglican priest, which I realize raises more questions than it answers for most people. Fair enough.

I have the joy of being the founding planter and pastor of Lamb of God Anglican Church. I am a redeemed child of God, husband, and father. I have a supportive, strong homemaking wife (Brooke) of twenty-three years and six beautiful children - and I'm a man who has never owned a pair of skinny jeans. Take it for what it's worth.

I was ordained a deacon in December of 2015 and as a priest in June 2016. I hold a BA in Biblical Studies from Trinity College of Florida and a Master of Worship Studies from the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies. Together with a team, I led New Creation Church (Anglican) in Hagerstown, MD for ten years. I also served for three years as the Associate Pastor of Holy Cross Cathedral, Loganville, GA. I'm a dedicated writer, and I also serve as the Anglican Antiquities Editor and Rector Search Coordinator at Anglican Compass.

I love the work of the priesthood. What I am most interested in is the ancient faith, delivered plainly. Word. Sacrament. The cross. The resurrection. Rooted in the liturgy and practices that have formed Christians for centuries and will form them long after the current moment's anxieties have passed. If that sounds like what you're looking for, pull up a chair.

Ways to Give

We don't take an offering at Lamb of God because the church needs your money. We take an offering because you need to give it. Everything we hold has been entrusted to us by the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills. The tithe is where we begin. Joy is where we end up.
